Year One (2008-2009) Calendar

Calendar of activities year one - Jefferson County Strategic Plan for Aging Well Project. 

DATES	ACTIVITIES
July 1, 2008	Project Year One Began
August 6, 2008	1st Organizational Meeting of Leadership Committee Convened.
September 17, 2008	2nd Leadership Committee Meeting Held & Work Groups  organized.
September 29, 2008	Six Work Groups started meeting individually monthly.
October 15, 2008	3rd Leadership Committee Meeting - Jeanette Hensley (Colorado State Office on Aging Director) is speaker.  Mary Boland reiterates expected outcomes and that Work Group reports are due by June 30, 2009. [Each Work Group gives 2-minute status update]
By October 31, 2008	Work Groups let Human Services Planning Team know if intern requested and specify in writing for what activities.
November 19, 2008	4th Leadership Committee Meeting - Joe Hanke (DRCOG Senior Planner) and Donna Mullins (Consultant and Leadership Committee member) are speakers. [Each Work Group gives 2-minute status update]
By January 31, 2009	Identify any assistance (maps, reports, data, etc.) Work Groups will need from Jeffco Planning & Zoning, Human Services Planning Team, and or Leadership Committee, etc.
By April 30, 2009	Work Groups identify what exists and gaps in Jeffco by collecting information, reports, studies, best practices, innovative ideas, public input, and subject matter experts on their specific topic.  (Transportation, Housing, Independence and Caregiver Support, Physical & Mental Health, Basic Needs, and Social & Civic Engagement).
By June 30, 2009	Written report due from each Work Group.  Work Groups systematically review, analyze and write up information being collected for topic area - including identifying gaps - at the Jefferson County level. [Document all information, analyses, and recommendations]
By July 31, 2009	Written Summary Report produced by consultant and Human Services project planning team
August 1, 2009 through July 31, 2010	Project Year Two - Work groups continue identifying and collecting resources, best practices, etc. from outside Jefferson County including other counties, state(s), national-level and international, if applicable.  County-wide Strategic Plan taken to public for input, implementation strategies devised, do-able innovative ideas may begin to be implemented, etc.
