Airfield Mowing Operations
Maintenance staff will be mowing the runways and taxiways this Wednesday and Thursday, August 2nd and 3rd. Mowing operations will start at 2200 local on both night and conclude the following mornings at 0600. A 10 minute PPR (Prior Permission Required) NOTAM will be issued and will be in effect during the mowing operations. POC for this project is Jeff Dewey and can be reached at 303-435-2450. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

T-Hangar Building 2000
I would like to thank the tenants of building 2000 for their cooperation during the apron replacement of the building. Staff removed the sinking concrete apron, which leads up to the hangar entrance from the taxiway lane, in attempt to make it easier to get aircraft in and out of the hangar. We are happy to announce that the project is complete and the hangars are back to normal operation. Thank You, Jeff Dewey, Airport Maintenance Supervisor.

TSA Presentation – Saturday, August 12, 2006
There will be a TSA presentation and open discussion on security for general aviation on Saturday, August 12th from 8:00 to 10:30 am in the Mt. Evans Room (located in the main terminal building).  The Denver TSA Office of Regulatory Compliance and John Steadman, Aviation Security Inspector will host the presentation. This presentation will cover topics such as airport security, aircraft security, securing general aviation threats, and the alien flight student program.  There will also be time for questions and discussions.

Taxiway "A" Relocation Project
The third phase of the Taxiway "A" Relocation Project started Monday, July 10th.  The A-12 connector between the Stevens Aviation Ramp and the Alpha Taxiway will be closed and barricaded.  A portion of the Stevens Ramp will close, and personnel and equipment will be operating adjacent to Taxiway Alpha and Taxiway Charlie.  Access to the Stevens Ramp will still be available via the eastern portion of the ramp, from Taxiways Charlie and Kilo.

Please use caution for personnel and equipment operating on the airfield and in ramp areas, and make sure to check for updated NOTAMs and ACRs throughout the construction.  For additional information and diagrams of the closures, please see the attachments to this week's Jeffco Update.  Bob Lohne may be reached at 303-271-4850 with questions regarding these projects.
