Asphalt Overlay Project
This is a reminder that the eastern most taxiway lane in the port a port hangars will be closed starting Monday July 17th for the entire week. The airport has selected a contractor to mill out and overlay the existing asphalt. We are very happy to have this project underway and if you have any questions please contact Jeff Dewey at 303-435-2450.

T-Hangar Maintenance on Building 2000
Airport maintenance staff will be replacing the concrete apron connecting the asphalt taxiway lane to the hangar entrance. This project will start on Monday, July 17th and run for approx. two weeks. Please be advised that heavy equipment will be operating in that area and a short delay may occur if access is needed to a hangar or surrounding Building 2000. Airport staff will respond accordingly to give that access. At no time will access be denied. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this project. The point of contact for this project is Jeff Dewey and can be reached at 303-435-2450.

PCI Airport Inspection – July 20th, 2006
The Division of Aeronautics will be conducting their PCI (Pavement Condition Index) on all airport surfaces, with the exception of RWY 11L/29R.  Inspections will start on RWY 11R/29L at 7:00 am.  This inspection will require that RWY 11R/29L be closed for approximately one hour.  Please refer to NOTAMs during this time.  The Division of Aeronautics will work with the tower to ensure safe operating conditions while conducting these surface inspections.

Runway 11L/29R will remain open on July 20th. The PCI inspections on RWY 11L/29R and its connectors will be conducted in September while closed for Taxiway Alpha construction.  Please call 303-271-4850 with question regarding this project.

Taxiway "A" Relocation Project
The third phase of the Taxiway "A" Relocation Project started Monday, July 10th.  The A-12 connector between the Stevens Aviation Ramp and the Alpha Taxiway will be closed and barricaded.  A portion of the Stevens Ramp will close, and personnel and equipment will be operating adjacent to Taxiway Alpha and Taxiway Charlie.  Access to the Stevens Ramp will still be available via the eastern portion of the ramp, from Taxiways Charlie and Kilo.

Please use caution for personnel and equipment operating on the airfield and in ramp areas, and make sure to check for updated NOTAMs and ACRs throughout the construction.  For additional information and diagrams of the closures, please see the attachments to this week's Jeffco Update.  Bob Lohne may be reached at 303-271-4850 with questions regarding these projects.
