Taxiway "A" Relocation Project
The third phase of the Taxiway "A" relocation project is scheduled to begin on or near July 10th. This is a continuation of the work that was completed last year when the eastern half of the "A" taxiway was relocated to meet FAA runway-taxiway safety separation standards. In addition to the taxiway construction, the Stevens Aviation ramp area will be rehabilitated. Both of these projects will be phased in such a way to cause a minimum of disruption to normal airport operations. The work associated with both construction projects is scheduled to be complete by mid-October of this year.
As was the case last year, it will be necessary to close Runway 29R-11L for a period of time to accommodate the construction of two new high-speed taxiways. At this time, it appears that the closure will occur on or near September 13th and the runway will remain closed for 32 consecutive days. During the closure period, runway 29L-11R will be utilized for all aircraft operations.

30th Annual CPA Jackpot Air Classic ? July 8, 2006The Colorado Pilots Association will be hosting the 30th Annual Jackpot Air Classic on July 8th at Jeffco Airport. This event is open to all interested pilots. All pilots must be registered and checked in to participate. Registration starts at 6:00am ? 6:30am in the Mt. Evans Room, located in the main terminal building. A mandatory pilot briefing will be held at 7:30am.
Additionally, participant aircraft should be parked on the ramp in front of the terminal and Denver Air Center.

Runway 29R/11L Closed ? July 5, 2006
Runway 29R/11L will be closed on July 5, 2006 from 0500 to 0700. This closure is necessary for surveying. Please contact Airport Operations with questions at 720-352-0395.
