B-17 "The Movie" Memphis Belle coming to Metro Airport
May 25-26, 2013
"The Movie" Memphis Belle will be on the Denver Air Center Ramp outside of the Airport Terminal Building located at 11755 Airport Way, Broomfield, CO 80021. This historic aircraft can be accessed through the terminal building and will be open to the public on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th from 0900 - 1700 MST. Tours and rides are also available for purchase. The spectacular B-17 flight experience includes 25-30 minutes of flight time for for $450/Person. Although the aircraft visiting the airport is a replica, the original B-17 Flying Fortress, "Memphis Belle" (Serial No 41-24485), is a wartime legend. Her fame did not lie only in the fact that she was the first B-17 to complete her tour of duty during World War II, but also that she managed, despite severe damage, to bring all her men back from every single mission unscratched.
JAA Fly In Event

The Jeffco Aviation Association (JAA) will be hosting their 18th annual Fly In event on Saturday, June 15th, 2013. This event will begin at 6:00 am and continue until 1:00PM. The Fly In will take place on the ramp outside of the terminal building. Trophies will be awarded to the best aircraft in classic, antique, warbird, homebuilt, contemporary, light sport and special interest categories.
