    Marriages Found in Other Record Series


     

    Justice of the Peace Dockets

    Lists of marriages performed by Justices of the Peace can be found in Justice of the Peace Docket Books, Series 111.  Marriages are listed chronologically by date of ceremony and give the name of groom, name of bride, and names of witnesses. 

    Volume 1: Justice Docket Book, Bergen Precinct (1867-1882)
    Contains lists of marriages performed by the Justice of the Peace in 1868-1869.

    Volume 4: Justice Docket Book, Golden (1894-1905)
    Contains lists of marriages performed by the Justice of the Peace dated February 12, 1900 to January 9, 1909.  Index available, indexed by Foothills Genealogical Society.  
         
    Volume 5: Justice Docket Book, Golden (1897-1911)
    Contains lists of marriages performed by the Justice of the Peace dated February 12, 1900 to October 22, 1911.  Index available, indexed by Foothills Genealogical Society.

    Volume 6: Justice Docket Book, Precinct 6 (1911-1922)
    Contains lists of marriages performed by the Justice of the Peace dated November 4, 1911 to March 25, 1922.  Index available, indexed by Foothills Genealogical Society.

    Deed and Record Books 

    Marriages can also sometimes be found in Record Books A-L, which contain all types of recordings dated 1860-1883.  Marriages have been found in Record Book A (1860-1861); Book B (1861-1864); Book G (1866-1867); and Book I (1867-1869).  The deed and record books are an unprocessed collection, but they are available for use.  There are no written descriptions currently available for these books.  Contact Archivist for details.
