Property Appraisal Cards (1939--2001)

Cards for obsolete residential and commercial property schedule numbers (parcels that were subsequently combined with or divided into other parcels). Each card may include a description of property and improvements, a photograph, and record of assessed value. Cards are arranged numerically by six-digit schedule number. The schedule number for a particular parcel can be obtained online using the Assessor Property Records Search or from the Assessor's Office.
Property Ownership Books (1905--1954)

Books showing the ownership of subdivided land (Block Books) and unsubdivided land (Land Books) in specific years. Block Books (1909-1919) indicate the assessed value of land, assessed value of improvements, and schedule number of the owner of land in subdivisions. The schedule number begins with the first letter of the owner's last name and can be looked up in the Property Assessment Rolls and Tax Lists (Series 100) for the same year to determine the name of the owner. Block Books (1934-1954) indicate the name of the owner as well as the schedule number and assessed value of land and improvements to land. Land Books include maps of each township or section showing the boundaries of unsubdivided parcels of land. Land Books (1905-1908) indicate the name of the owner; the 1909 book indicates schedule number of the owner and the assessed value of land and improvements to land.
