Return of the Property Tax Exemption for Seniors
For the 2012 property tax year (taxes payable in 2013) fifty percent (50%) of the first two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) of actual value of residential real property that, as January 1, 2012, is owner-occupied and is used as the primary residence of a qualifying senior is exempt from property taxes.
