    Jefferson County Commissioner, District Two

     

     Commissioner Casey Tighe

     

     

     

    Casey Tighe was elected in 2012 and sworn in on January 8, 2013. He served as the chair for the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners and the Jefferson County Law Enforcement Authority Board in 2015.

    He serves on the following boards and commissions:

    • Community Corrections 
    • E-911 Board
    • Head Start Policy Council
    • I-70 Mountain Coalition
    • Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Executive Committee
    • Jefferson Center for Mental Health Board
    • Jefferson County Transportation Action and Advocacy Group, chair pro-tem 
    • Noxious Weed Advisory Board
    • Urban Renewal District

    Commissioner Tighe is the county's alternate on the Boundary Control Commission, Chatfield Watershed Authority, Criminal Justice Coordinating Committee, the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation Board, Jefferson County Transportation Action and Advocacy Group (JEFFTAAG), and the WestConnect Corridor Coalition.
     

    An auditor and attorney, Tighe was audit director for the Colorado Department of Transportation where he worked for 24 years. Prior to working for CDOT, Casey practiced law in Arvada for three years. After retiring from CDOT, he was office manager for Bayer and Carey PC, a law firm.

    Tighe previously chaired the Jeffco Audit Committee for four years and currently serves on the board of Uplift Internationale, which provides surgical care to indigent children with facial deformities.

    A University of Colorado graduate, Tighe earned a law degree from Creighton University. He lives in Applewood with his wife, Laura, and two sons.
