• Boards and Commissions: Citizen Review Panel



    To provide a conflict resolution process to address formal complaints by any person who is the subject of an investigation of a report of child abuse or neglect. This process is to provide a forum for grievances concerning the conduct of county personnel in performing their statutory duties under the Children’s Code that cannot be resolved between the client and the Human Services Department.


    The panel reviews grievances to determine the legitimacy of complaints against county personnel and submits recommendations to the director of Human Services for resolution. The recommendations are limited to those actions within the authority of the director.


    Members must be representative of the community; have demonstrable personal or professional knowledge and experience with children; cannot be employees of the county department of Human Services; and at least one member must be a parent of a minor child at the time of his/her appointment.

    Members and Length of Terms:

    Six regular members serving two-year terms.
