• Boards and Commissions: Developmental Disabilities Resource Center

     

    Purpose:

    To advise the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners of all operations of the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilities Resource Center that provides services and training for people with developmental disabilities.

    Duties: 

    The board oversees the operations of the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilities Resource Center and its services that may include resource coordination, education, training, adult, family support and supported living-type services.

    Qualifications:

    The Board of County Commissioners appoints one member to this board, and he or she must be a county resident and must have experience with intellectual/developmental disabilities.

    Meetings:

    Meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of every month. Subcommittee participation is required. There are about four to 12 meetings per year.

    Members and Length of Terms: 

    Seventeen regular members that serve one-year terms.
