  • Boards and Commissions: Fairgrounds Advisory Committee



    Advises the Board of County Commissioners on capital construction and fees at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds. The Fairgrounds Advisory Committee determines allowable uses, procedures and regulations of the fairgrounds.


    • Reviews and advises of capital improvement needs at the fairgrounds.
    • Reviews and advises of allowable uses of the fairgrounds facilities.
    • Reviews and advises of the facility rental structure.
    • Reviews and advises on updates to the Fairground’s Master Plan.
    • Reviews proposals and/or resolution of significant conflicts involving fairgrounds users, neighbors or other stakeholders.
    • Takes on additional duties upon request of the Board of County Commissioners.


    General interest in activities conducted at the fairgrounds, including equestrian events, animal care and management, trade shows, meetings and other events.


    Meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month at the Fairgrounds’ Rocky Mountain Conference Room.

    Members and Length of Terms:

    Seven regular members will serve three-year terms.
