  • Boards and Commissions: Juvenile Review Board


    The Juvenile Review Board reviews case files of youth committed to the custody of the Division of Youth Corrections to determine if the youth should be placed into a residential community placement in Jefferson County.


    • Establishes procedures and criteria for reviewing and approving juvenile residential community placements in Jefferson County.
    • Reviews case files of children and within specified time frame, make decisions regarding community placement.
    • Understands that confidentiality and non-disclosure is vital.
    • Adheres to county procedures and policies with regard to all record-keeping.
    • Provides annual reporting to the Jefferson County Board of Commissioners.


    Citizens must reside in Jefferson County.


    Meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of each month as needed.

    Members and Length of Term:

    At least ten members.
