Building Permit Fees

Fees for electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work done in conjunction with an active building permit issued on or after June 1, 1995, are included in the building permit fee. For electrical, mechanical, and plumbing work which does not require a building permit, please see the other fee schedule. Round up to the nearest dollar amount.

Plan Review Fee	When submittal documents are required by Section 106.1, a plan review equal to 65 percent of the permit fee shall be charged on all permits with a valuation of $50,000.00 or more. This fee may be required at time of submittal of the documents for plan review. Plan review fees may be waived by the building official for projects with a valuation of less than $50,000.00. Projects having received a Stop Work Order, may be charged a plan review fee regardless of valuation. The plan review fees specified in this section are separate fees from the permit fees specified in Section 108.2 and are in addition to the permit fees.
Other Inspection Fees:
1.) Inspection outside of normal business hours (minimum charge - two hours)	$50.00 per hour*
2.) Re-inspection Fees assessed under provisions of Section 108.10	$50.00 each*
3.) Inspection for which no fee is specifically indicated	$50.00 per hour*
4.) Additional plan review required for changes, additions, or revisions to plans	$50.00 per hour*
5.) For use of outside consultants for plan checking and inspections, or both	Actual Cost**
6.) For issuance of each Temporary Certificate of Occupancy.	$750.00***

* Or the total hourly cost to the jurisdiction, whichever is the greatest. The cost shall include supervision, overhead, equipment hourly wages and fringe benefits of the employees involved.

** Actual costs include administrative and overhead costs.

*** $500.00 will be refunded if a Certificate of Occupancy is issued prior to the expiration of the Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
