Roofing Information
Important Notice on Roofing Please note the requirements under the 2009 Only 1 (one) layer of asphalt shingles will be allowed per R907.3 (4) and R903.5 - NO OVERLAYS, COMPLETE TEAROFF REQUIRED. Ice barrier will be required for asphalt shingles, metal roof shingles, mineral roll roofing, slate, wood shingles, and wood shakes per R905.2.7.1, R905.3.1, R905.4.3.1, R905.6.3.1, R905.7.3.1, R905.8.3.1. Concrete and clay tile per R905.3.4 and R905.3.5 or manufacturers instructions. Asphalt shingles are acceptable for wind resistance using ASTM D7158 (G or H). At elevations above 6400 Class A roof coverings shall continue to be required per Jefferson County Supplements (905.1.5.1). All roofing materials must be installed per manufacturers' instructions and specifications.
