• Clerk to the Board 


    The Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder is clerk to the Board of County Commissioners per C.R.S. 30-10-405.

    Clerk to board staff responsibilities include:

    • Processing applications and renewals for all liquor licenses and other liquor permits for businesses within unincorporated Jefferson County
    • Preparing minutes and resolutions for Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners hearings and custodian of related records approved by the board
    • Secretarial duties to the liquor licensing authority, emergency 911 board and cultural council, which is responsible for receiving and approving grants for Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD) applicants
    • Custodian of contracts
    • Posting meetings and agendas of special districts and other required notices
    • Processing applications for passport requests
