Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP)
The Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) is available to eligible low-income Colorado families in need of childcare services.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE CHILD CARE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM, APPLICANTS MUST BE:
- Parents who are employed, or
- Parents searching for employment, or
- Parents attending post-secondary education, (Child care assistance may be provided to parents for up to 24 months. Study time will not be allowed for the purpose of this activity.) or
- Parents attending training for GED, ESL, or Adult Basic Education, (Child care assistance may be provided to parents for up to six (6) months.) or
- Teen parents (up to age 21) in a high school diploma program, GED program, certificate or vocational education program, or
- Families receiving Colorado Works/TANF.
- Applicants must cooperate with Child Support Services, and
- Applicants must be residents of Jefferson County, and
- Applicants must meet income standards.
- The Child Care Assistance Program is available to eligible individuals regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, and disability religious or political beliefs.

- Complete an application:

- You will need:
- Social Security numbers for all household members
- Birth certificates for children
- Proof of residence in Jefferson County
- Proof of monthly income
- Proof of child immunizations
- Aspen Family Services:
- Will ask for basic information
- Mail you an application
- Assist is scheduling a Child Care Orientation
- Orientations are held every Friday
- You will need to complete any requested paperwork and bring this to your Child Care Orientation.
- OR apply online using the Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Application Tool.
- You will need to attend a Child Care Orientation

- You will need to complete any requested paperwork and bring this to your Child Care Orientation.
- You will need to choose a provider
- To preview a list of eligible providers:
ONCE THE APPLICATION IS RECEIVED:
- No face-to-face interview is required.
- Eligibility is re-evaluated every twelve months.
- You will need to re-verify your household circumstances to continue receiving Child Care Assistance.
