Medicare Savings Program (MSP)

The Medicare Savings Program (MSP) is available to eligible, low-income Colorado residents who currently receive Medicare. Which program you qualify for depends on your income and resources. MSP is available to all eligible individuals regardless of race, color, sex, national origin, religious or political beliefs.

To get started, our office must receive a completed Application for Assistance, including:

• Proof of income and resources
• Proof of Medicare coverage
• Proof of residence in Jefferson County
• Proof of age
• Proof of lawful presence and a signed affidavit for applicants 18 years and older

An interview is not required to determine eligibility for MSP. MSP can be back-dated to provide 3 months of coverage prior to application; the payment is made directly to the provider.
