JEFFERSON COUNTY
2007 Community Services Block Grant Program
Jefferson County is currently accepting Letters of Interest from 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations and governmental agencies for projects within the County that will provide support for service programs that have a measurable and potentially significant impact on the causes and effects of poverty. The CSBG program is funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. An estimated $300,000 will be available for projects that qualify.
Projects focusing on the following priorities (listed in order from highest to lowest priority) will be given stronger consideration:
Income Management:
- Improving Access to Services (food stamps, training, resources)
- Educating People on Services
- Financial Education
Budgeting
Educating people on need for income management
Debt management
Building wealth
Peer Mentorship
Job etiquette training
Emergency Services:
- Knowledge of Availability of Services
- Collaborating/Leveraging Resources

- Hickenlooper's 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness
- Senior Needs

GEOGRAPHIC LIMITATIONS CSBG funds are for use in Jefferson County or for projects within the boundaries of local jurisdictions that serve residents from the entire County. Agencies providing services to underserved populations (e.g. Hispanic, African-American, Russian, Asian) are strongly encouraged to apply.
LETTER OF INTEREST DEADLINE Letters of Interest must be sent to the attention of Donna Benallo at Jefferson County Community Development, 900 Jefferson County Parkway, Suite 65, Golden, Colorado 80401, by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 29, 2006.
