Special Event Permit
Complete application must be received.
You must apply for a Special Events Permit 60 days prior to your event due to our new process. However, we also cannot accept any applications where the event will be held more than 90 days in the future.

- School Affidavit
- Planning & Zoning Sign-Off giving permission for Special Event (An additional event permit may be needed.)
- Letter from owner
(Stating where event is being held and giving permission to hold the event and permission to serve liquor)
- Letter from applicant
(Stating 1. Why event is not being held at a liquor licensed facility - "... Existing facilities are inadequate because...." and 2. That food and snacks will be available at the event.)
- Map - area (geographical) Mapquest is acceptable.
- Diagram of premises (outlined in marker) where alcohol will be served and consumed and showing how liquor will be policed (in room, building etc.)
- Certificate of good standing - from the state of Colorado (dated within the last two years)
- Articles of incorporation
- If charter - charter & articles of incorporation of national organization
- If political candidate - attach copies of reports and statements that were filed with the secretary of state. (candidate affidavit)
- Any written agreements with sponsor of the event
- Fees paid:
Check(s) for $100.00 per event for 3.2% fermented malt beverage or malt, vinous and spirituous liquors made payable to Jefferson County.
Check(s) for $10.00 per day for 3.2% fermented malt beverage made payable to State Department of Revenue or check(s) for $25.00 per day for malt, vinous and spirituous liquors made payable to State Department of Revenue.
