The Clerk and Recorder is Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners per C.R.S. 30-10-405.
Responsibilities of the Clerk to the Board staff include:
- Processes applications and renewals of all Liquor Licenses as well as other Liquor Permits for unincorporated Jefferson County
- Prepares Minutes and Resolutions for the Board of County Commissioner hearings and custodian of related records approved by the Board of County Commissioners
- Secretarial duties to the Liquor Licensing Authority, Emergency 911 Board and Cultural Council which is responsible for receiving and approving grants for the SCFD (Scientific and Cultural Facilities District) applicants
- Custodian of contracts
- Posts meetings and agendas of special districts as well as other required notices
