Commissioner Lawrence moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-054

Purpose: TO AMEND SECTIONS 5.19 and 5.20 OF THE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES MANUAL CONCERNING PRE-APPLICATION REVIEW MEETING, COMMUNITY MEETING, AND COMMUNITY NOTIFICATION

WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department of Jefferson County has proposed to revise the procedures embodied in Sections 5.19 and 5.20 of the Jefferson County Policies and Procedures Manual concerning pre-application review meeting, community meeting, and community notification, and to transfer the revised procedures to the Jefferson County Zoning Resolution and the Jefferson County Land Development Regulation; and

WHEREAS, the revised procedures will be effective as to all land use, rezoning and special use applications filed on or after March 1, 2000; and

WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Department has proposed to AMEND Sections 5.19 and 5.20 of the Policies and Procedures Manual to make the existing procedures applicable only to all land development, rezoning and special use applications filed before March 1, 2000; and

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by this Board on January 18, 2000, January 25, 2000 and continued to February 18, 2000 for decision only; and

WHEREAS, based on the evidence, testimony, exhibits, recommendations of the Jefferson County Planning Commission, recommendations of the Jefferson County Planning and Zoning Department, and comments from all interested parties, this Board finds as follows:

1. That amendment of Sections 5.19 and 5.20 of the Policies and Procedures Manual will simplify, clarify, update, and otherwise improve the County's platting, rezoning, and special use procedures; and

2. That it is in the best interest of the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity and welfare of the residents of Jefferson County to amend Sections 5.19 and 5.20 of the Policies and Procedures Manual.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the amendments to the Jefferson County Policies and Procedures Manual as set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference be and hereby are APPROVED.

Commissioner Holloway seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
