Commissioner Lawrence moved that the following Resolution be adopted:
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. CC00-329
RE: PUBLIC WORKS - HIGHWAYS AND TRANSPORTATION - RIGHT-OF-WAY ACQUISITIONS FOR INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT COUNTY HIGHWAY 73/STATE HIGHWAY 74
Resolved that the Board of County Commissioners hereby authorizes the Department of Highways and Transportation, in cooperation with the County Attorney's Office, to initiate negotiations for the acquisition of all easement and right-of-way parcels required for intersection improvements for such amount as may seem just and reasonable to facilitate such acquisitions without the necessity of condemnation.
Further resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the County Attorney's Office to initiate proceedings in eminent domain by and on behalf of and in the name of the County against the owner(s) and other(s) who claim to have an interest in any and all of the such right-of-way parcels or easements as may be required for the project, and to take such further action as may be reasonably necessary for or incidental to the filing and diligent prosecution of any litigation or proceeding required for the project.
Commissioner Holloway seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
