Commissioner Holloway moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-423

RE: PUBLIC WORKS - HIGHWAYS & TRANSPORTATION - CONTRACT - GROUND ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS FOR GEOTECHNICAL CONSULTING SERVICES - SIMMS STREET WIDENING FROM BELLEVIEW TO QUINCY

Resolved that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the contract between Jefferson County and Ground Engineering Consultants in the amount of $112,037.50 for geotechnical testing and consulting engineering support of the Simms Street Widening Project. The County's authorized representative is Dixie Shear, or other person as may be designated by the Department Director or County Administrator. The authorized representative may approve any change order provided that no combination of change orders shall increase the total price payable under this contract by more than five percent (5%) or an amount greater than $117,639.38.

The period of performance shall be 225 days, from the start of construction in August 2000 through the end of the project in March 2001.

Commissioner Lawrence seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Richard M. Sheehan, Chairman Absent

The Resolution was adopted by majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
