Commissioner Holloway moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

RE: APPOINTMENTS TO LOCAL JUVENILE SERVICES PLANNING COMMITTEE

WHEREAS, Senate Bill 93-134 requires that the Chief Judge appoint individuals recommended by the Board of County Commissioners from the County to serve on a Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee (the "Committee"); and

WHEREAS, the Committee, if practicable, shall include but not be limited to a representative of the Probation Department, District Attorney’s Office, and Public Defender’s Office.

WHEREAS, the following individuals were recommended for appointment to the Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee from the Probation Department:

Mike Riede Probation Department

Kevin Klinkerfues Probation Department

WHEREAS, the following individual, Hal Sargent, was recommended for appointment to the Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee from the District Attorney’s Office; and

WHEREAS, the following individual, Melissa Garscin, was recommended for appointment to the Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee from the Public Defender’s Office; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado hereby and herewith appoints the following persons to serve on the Local Juvenile Services Planning Committee as new members: Mike Riede from the Probation Department; Kevin Klinkerfues from the Probation Department; Hal Sargent from the Distract Attorney’s Office; and Melissa Garscin from the Public Defender’s Office.

Commissioner Lawrence seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Richard M. Sheehan, Chairman Absent

The Resolution was adopted by majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
