Commissioner Holloway moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-505

RE: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS - APPOINTMENT OF AN ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE JEFFERSON COUNTY JUVENILE REVIEW BOARD (JRB)

WHEREAS, C.R.S. 19-2-1301 et seq. authorizes a board of county commissioners to appoint a juvenile community review board, "whose duty shall be to approve residential community placement of children, in this county, committed to the custody of the Division of Youth Corrections;" and

WHEREAS, Noel Blum resigned his position as the alternate member representing the First Judicial District District Attorney's Office; and

WHEREAS, Michelle Cantin was nominated to be an alternate member representing the First Judicial District District Attorney's Office; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners believes making such an appointment is in the best interest of the citizens of Jefferson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Michelle Cantin be and is hereby appointed as the alternate member of the JRB as the representative for First Judicial District District Attorney's Office.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of this appointment shall be effective as of the date of the approval of this Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners, to expire when said member resigns or is replaced by the Board of County Commissioners.

Commissioner Sheehan seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Michelle Lawrence Absent
Commissioner Richard M. Sheehan, Chairman Aye

The Resolution was adopted by majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
