Commissioner Holloway moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-517

RE: PUBLIC WORKS - HIGHWAYS & TRANSPORTATION - SECOND AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT - MK CENTENNIAL FOR FEASIBILITY STUDY (FINAL DESIGN PHASE) SIMMS/U.S. 285 INTERCHANGE PROJECT INCLUDING THE EXTENSION OF SOUTH SIMMS STREET (QUINCY TO U.S. 285)

Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the Second Amendment to the contract with MK Centennial to do the Final Engineering Design of the Preferred Alternative for the Simms/U.S. 285 Interchange Project in the amount of $295,500 which includes $201,300 for the "Base Contract Amount", and another $94,200 for any "Additional Services" that may be needed and must be authorized in writing by the County's Authorized Representative. This Amendment revises the Contract Amount to $650,811 for the "Base Contract" work and the "Additional Services" amount to be $377,070 for a total contract amount of $1,027,881.

The County's Authorized Representative is Brad Bauer or another person as may be designated by the Department Director, or County Administrator. The County's Authorized Representative may approve any change order, provided that no combination of change orders shall increase the total price payable under this contract by more than 5% or an amount greater than $1,079,275.

Final completion of the work done under this Second Amendment shall be done within 120 calendar days from the Notice-to-Proceed for these design services.

Commissioner Lawrence seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
