Commissioner Lawrence moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-522

RE: SHERIFF - ALLOCATION OF LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT AWARD

Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the allocation of the grant award from the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Local Law Enforcement Block Grant, an award of $42,879, for the purchase of police equipment, specifically Motorola portable radios, a ballistic shield, pursuit termination spikes, educational aids and training to be utilized by Community Resource Officers, and specialized riot control equipment for the Special Operations Response Team.

Commissioner Sheehan seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Patricia B. Holloway Absent
Commissioner Richard M. Sheehan, Chairman Aye

The Resolution was adopted by majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
