Commissioner Lawrence moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC00-587

RE: COMMUNITY RESOURCES - BOETTCHER MANSION - AMENDMENT TO PRIMARY MISSION OF THE JEFFERSON COUNTY CONFERENCE AND NATURE CENTER

WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Conference and Nature Center ("JCCNC") was reorganized in 1989 pursuant to resolution no. CC89-148;

WHEREAS, since that time, the primary mission of the JCCNC has been to operate for the benefit of the general public by providing facilities for conferences, weddings, receptions, seminars, meetings, etc.;

WHEREAS, the JCCNC has significant historical and cultural value; and

WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the County to amend the primary mission of the JCCNC to maximize its use as a cultural history site.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the JCCNC operate primarily for the benefit of public education through its cultural and historic value, and continue to provide facilities for conferences, weddings, receptions, meetings, etc., as a secondary and supplemental function.

Commissioner Holloway seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
