Commissioner Lawrence moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

RE: APPOINTMENT OF A REGULAR MEMBER AND ALTERNATE MEMBER

TO THE JEFFERSON COUNTY JUVENILE REVIEW BOARD (JRB)

WHEREAS, C.R.S. 19-2-1301 et seq. authorizes a board of county commissioners to appoint a juvenile community review board, "whose duty shall be to approve residential community placement of children, in this county, committed to the custody of the Division of Youth Corrections;" and

WHEREAS, Hal Sargent resigned his position as the regular member representing the First Judicial District Office of the District Attorney; and

WHEREAS, Michelle Cantin was nominated to be a regular member representing the First Judicial District Office of the District Attorney and will leave her position as the alternate member; and

WHEREAS, Bret Heidemann was nominated to be the alternate member representing the First Judicial District Office of the District Attorney; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners believes making such appointments is in the best interest of the citizens of Jefferson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Michelle Cantin be and is hereby appointed as the regular member of the JRB and Bret Heidemann be and is hereby appointed as the alternate member of the JRB, both representing the First Judicial District Office of the District Attorney.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the term of this appointment shall be effective as of the date of the approval of this Resolution by the Board of County Commissioners, to expire when said member resigns or is replaced by the Board of County Commissioners.

Commissioner Holloway seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
