Commissioner Ferdinandsen moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC91-20

RE: ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES - KAISER PERMANENTE - COBRA

Health Insurance Coverage

WHEREAS, Jefferson County is required to provide health insurance coverage under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act ("COBRA"); and

WHEREAS, Kaiser Permanente has agreed to provide services to the County in connection with COBRA, including billing the individuals who choose continuation coverage, collecting premiums from them, and informing the individuals who choose continuation coverage of any changes in the health plan benefits or rates; and

WHEREAS, Kaiser Permanente is not charging the County for such additional services.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, hereby and herewith accepts the services of Kaiser Permanente with respect to COBRA coverage as indicated in the letter from Kaiser Permanente dated December 19, 1990 and authorizes the Chairman to execute the same.

Commissioner Clement seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner John P. Stone, Chairman AYE

Commissioner Marjorie E. Clement AYE

Commissioner Rich Ferdinandsen AYE

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
