@@Commissioner Stone moved that the following Resolution be adopted:
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
WHEREAS, William McFerren Jr. was recently awarded the Silver Star for acts of heroism while serving as an Army Air Corps navigator during World War II; and
WHEREAS, the Silver Star was awarded for William McFerren's heroism in assisting the crew members of his crippled bomber while under attack by Japanese forces; and
WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board of County Commissioners wishes to recognize the bravery displayed by William McFerren Jr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, hereby and herewith gives tribute to William McFerren Jr. and congratulates him for his receipt of the Silver Star.
Commissioner Ferdinandsen seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
