@@Commissioner Stone moved that the following Resolution be adopted:
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
Approval of Joint Venture Proposal for the City of Wheat Ridge separate from the Joint Venture Grants for 1992
WHEREAS, Gary Wardle, Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Wheat Ridge, did present to the Jefferson County Open Space Advisory Committee ("OSAC"), a Request for Joint Venture from the City of Wheat Ridge, on May 14, 1992, for funding of construction of a trail head/parking lot at 4lst and Youngfield Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Wheat Ridge, through City Council Resolution No. 1287, dated March 23, 1992, requested the County to participate in a joint venture for construction of a trail head/parking lot at 41st and Youngfield Street. The cost of the project is $73,000.00. The City of Wheat Ridge has requested that the County contribute $16,500.00 additional monies over and above the 1990 grant; and
WHEREAS, on May 21, 1992, during a regularly scheduled meeting, OSAC reviewed a Request for Joint Venture for the City of Wheat Ridge; and
WHEREAS, OSAC, by a unanimous vote, nine (9) voting yes on a vote on the question, did, on June 4, 1992 by Resolution No. 54-92, recommend that the Board of County Commissioners approve such Joint Venture proposal separate from the Joint Venture Grants for 1992 in the amount of $16,500.00; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, (the "Board") has considered the above-referenced recommendation and concurs with the following OSAC findings:
1.Wheat Ridge submitted a request to participate in funding during the 1990 Joint Venture application process and was granted $20,000.00. The original cost of the parking lot was $40,000.00;
2.Wheat Ridge's 1992 request proposed, due to increased usage, that the parking lot be expanded to accommodate that use;
3.Such request includes funding of a parking lot at a trail head for the Clear Creek Trail Corridor. This trail is one of the eight major trail priority corridors.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, hereby and herewith approves the awarding of the City of Wheat Ridge's Joint Venture Grant in the amount of $16,500.00 separate from the Joint Venture Grants for 1992 contingent upon the following:
That with regard to the above-referenced project, that the appropriate documentation evidencing expenditure of funds or an executed contract be submitted and recommended for approval by the Open Space Department and OSAC, reviewed by the County Attorney's Office and approved by the Board of County Commissioners.
Commissioner Ferdinandsen seconded the adoption of the foregoing RResolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:
