@@Commissioner Stone moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RESOLUTION NO. CC92-939

RE:SOCIAL SERVICES - LOW-INCOME ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

VENDOR AGREEMENTS FOR 1992 - 1993

WHEREAS, Title XXVI of the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Actof 1981 (P.L. 97-35) provides for home energy assistance to eligible households; and

WHEREAS, the State of Colorado by way of the State Department ofSocial Services is participating in the Low-Income Energy Assistance Program; and

WHEREAS, the State Department of Social Services has promulgatedregulations for administration of the said program by the respective county departments of social services; and

WHEREAS, said regulations provide, among other things, for directpayments to vendors within the county who provide for home energy purposes, electricity, oil, gas, coal, wood, kerosene or other fuel used for heating a residential dwelling; and

WHEREAS, said direct payments can be made to such vendors only ifsaid vendors enter into an agreement with the county in which they are operating, which agreements contain the provisions andassurances provided for in the aforesaid regulations; and

WHEREAS, attached hereto is a blank copy of the Standard Vendor Agreement form prepared and promulgated by the State Departmentof Social Services; and

WHEREAS, this Board finds that entering into such agreements withvendors would be in the best interest of the citizens of Jefferson County.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County

Commissioners, County of Jefferson, State of Colorado, hereby

approves the standard Low-Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP)Vendor Agreements for the 1992 - 1993 Residential Heating Season as typified by the form attached hereto, and the Chairman is authorized to execute such standard agreements with vendors,

approved by the Jefferson County Department of Social Services'Director before April 30, 1993, as being within the Jefferson County 1992 - 1993 allocation authorized by the State Departmentof Social Services.

Commissioner Ferdinandsen seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner John P. Stone AYE

Commissioner Rich Ferdinandsen AYE

Commissioner Marjorie E. Clement, Chairman AYE

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
