Commissioner Miller moved that the following Resolution be adopted:
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
WHEREAS, The Jefferson County Board of Commissioners held a regular public meeting with notice duly given at the Jefferson County Administration and Courts Facility, 100 Jefferson County Parkway, Golden, Colorado on Tuesday, June 18, 1996, and
WHEREAS,the Colorado Outdoor Advertising Act, C.R.S. (1973) Section 43-1-401 et. Seq., and the regulations duly enacted thereunder, provided for the erection of "official advertising devices" by a government entity for a public purpose authorized by law.
WHEREAS,the erection of the above mentioned "official advertising devices" will achieve a public purpose by creating a positive and welcoming visual image of Jefferson County; and
WHEREAS,the "official advertising devices" consist of single-faced wooden signs that say "Welcome to Jefferson County." One will be located on eastbound U.S. Highway 285 at mile-point 228.84 on the south side of said highway, and one will be located on westbound C-470 on the north side of the highway at mile-point 16.11;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Jefferson County Public Information Department is hereby authorized to erect and maintain the above mentioned "official advertising device" for the public purposes declared above in compliance with Colorados Outdoor Advertising Act, C.R.S. (1973) Section 43-1-401 et. Seq. and the regulations duly enacted thereunder.
Commissioner Stone seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by majority vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
