Commissioner Miller moved that the following Resolution be adopted:
BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON
Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the contract between Jefferson County and Canteen Corporation for annual food service management in the amount of approximately $554,000 per year ($1.226/meal) for the Detention Facility, and approximately $243,360 per year ($1.6104/meal) for the Work Release Facility. A portion of the amount for the Work Release Facility, approximately $137,550, is reimbursed to the County by CRC, the Community Responsibility Center.
Be It Further Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the County’s authorized representative as the Detentions Division Commander or his designee.
Be It Further Resolved, that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the term of the contract for one year with an option to extend for two (2) additional one year terms.
Commissioner Laura seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:
