Commissioner Holloway moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

RE: SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT - SIERRA STEEL COMPANY FOR PNEUMATIC DOORS RETROFIT PHASE TWO FOR SHERIFF'S DETENTION FACILITY

Resolved that the Board of County Commissioners hereby approves the contract between Jefferson County and SIERRA STEEL COMPANY in the amount not to exceed $189,770.00 to convert the mechanical emergency release systems and sliding entry and day room doors at the Detention Center to pneumatic operators. This request is for phase two of a four phase project which is anticipated to be completed in the year 2000.

The County's authorized representative is Don Varwig or other person as may be designated by the Sheriff. The authorized representative may approve any change order provided that no combination of change orders shall increase the total price payable under this contract by more than 5% or an amount greater than $199,258.50.

The Contractor shall complete the work on Phase Two of the project within two hundred forty-four (244) calendar days of receipt of the executed contract.

Commissioner Stone seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

Commissioner Patricia B. Holloway AYE

Commissioner John P. Stone AYE

Commissioner Michelle Lawrence, Chairman AYE

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
