Commissioner Stone moved that the following Resolution be adopted:

BEFORE THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

OF THE COUNTY OF JEFFERSON

STATE OF COLORADO

RE: COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR - BUDGET - SUPPLEMENTARY BUDGET AND APPROPRIATION

WHEREAS, on December 11, 1997, by resolution CC97-671, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the 1998 calendar year budget and made appropriations for Jefferson County; and

WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to amend the 1998 budget and appropriations as indicated below; and

WHEREAS, the Board published notice that it would consider the adoption of this resolution and prior to its consideration said publication was made in the Golden Transcript.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

1. The Budget of the Department of Health and Environment is hereby amended by a transfer of $30,645 of appropriated funds from the salary and benefit line item to the contract services line item, and the authorized FTE's are hereby reduced by one, to account for contract custodial services.

2. The Budget of the Department of Health and Environment is hereby amended by a transfer of $36,000 from the salary and benefit line item to the contract services line item to account for contract environmental services.

3. The budget and appropriation of the Department of Health and Environment are hereby increased by the amount of $96,423, to pay for an immunization program, to be offset by unanticipated revenue from a federal grant.

4. The budget and appropriation of the Department of Health and Environment are hereby increased by the amount of $11,000, to pay for a bike safety program for children, to be offset by unanticipated revenue from a federal grant.

5. The budget of the Department of Health and Environment is hereby amended by a change of revenue line items to indicate an decrease of $87,245 for general fund subsidy, and an increase of $87,245 for state grants, to reflect receipt of a state grant for substance abuse counseling.

6. The budget and appropriation of the Retirement Fund are hereby decreased by the amount of $758 to reflect a reduction in the amount of appropriated funds to be received from the Department of Health and Environment.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution shall be transmitted immediately to the affected spending agencies and the Director of Accounting.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this Resolution be filed by the Budget Director with the Division of Local Government in the Department of Local Affairs.

Commissioner Holloway seconded the adoption of the foregoing Resolution. The roll having been called, the vote was as follows:

The Resolution was adopted by unanimous vote of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado.
