CASE Partnership
Success of the CASE Partnership Metro-wide
A partnership with faith and other communities:
- As of April 2006, over 900 churches, synagogues, temples, faith-affiliated and community agencies throughout the metro area are CASE Partners.
Power Against Fraud prevention seminars:
- In 2005, district attorney staff presented over 500 fraud prevention seminars to 20,000+ older adults and their families and caregivers, resulting in positive behavioral changes. Staff expects to present 700 seminars in 2006.
Monthly Fraud Alerts sent via e-mail or fax to the CASE Partners:
- CASE Partners publish or insert the Alerts in bulletins, newsletters and e-mail listservs, informing over 1.5 million older adults, their families and caregivers each month on the latest scams and prevention tips.
CASE Fraud Assistance Lines:
- District Attorney staff responds to requests for personalized victim assistance or help with implementing prevention steps. In 2005, CASE staff assisted over 5,000 older adults and their families or caregivers, increasing their sense of safety and quality of life.
Cultural Community Outreach and Advocacy:
- Cultural and language-appropriate services have dramatically increased outreach to African-American, Asian, Latino and Russian communities.
