Victim/Witness Center at Jefferson County Courthouse
The Victim/Witness (VW) Center is located in room 1070 on the first floor of the Administration and Courts Building. The VW Center is a hub of activity for prosecutors, as well as all of the victims and witnesses who appear in court. All witnesses check in at the VW Center and wait in pleasant surroundings until they are needed in court. The "on-call" and "call-off" systems are used extensively so witnesses do not have to spend all day waiting to testify. The VW Center is staffed full time from 7:30am-5pm. The programs operating from the VW Center are front desk operations, the on call program, the domestic violence fast track program, the county court victim/witness program and trial coordination.
