  • Misdemeanor Domestic Violence or Drug Offender Program

The Misdemeanor Domestic Violence/Drug Program is designed to assist first-time, low-level offenders in becoming last-time offenders, by providing the counseling services they need, and giving them an opportunity to have their criminal case dismissed. It is generally a twelve month program.

Prior to 2010, the program served only domestic violence offenders, and assured that offenders received the Domestic Violence Offender Management Board (DVOMB) recommended treatment for their offenses. The program is supervised by a licensed clinical professional, and is staffed by a combination of paid and volunteer Diversion officers.

In 2010, the program added the Misdemeanor Drug Offender Program to address needs of first time drug offenders in the community.
