    Evergreen Roofing Contracting Pleads Guilty to Theft

    An Evergreen roofing contractor has entered guilty pleas to four felony counts for theft from homeowners through his roofing business.

    Jonathan Paul McMillan, DOB: 1-20-76, is the owner of Lifetime Roofing and Restoration, located in Evergreen, Colorado. Between 2014 and 2015 he entered into contracts with 17 homeowners for roof replacement or repair. McMillan and Lifetime Roofing employed sales people who were instructed to primarily solicit areas hit by hail storms. After he received payment from homeowners’ or their insurance companies, he never returned to do the work.

    Of the 17 victims, six were at-risk adults, 70 years of age or older. The total loss is over $68,000.

    McMillan was indicted in March 24, 2017.

    On July 31, Mr. McMillan pled guilty to two counts of Theft from an At-Risk Adult (F3) and two counts of Theft (F4). He could potentially face up to 36 years in prison. Sentencing has been set for October 6, 2017.
