Registration Deadline
for the Coordinated Election was 
October 5, 2009

Deadline to apply for a Mail-In Ballot to be mailed is
October 27, 2009

Deadline to apply for a Mail-In Ballot in person is
October 30, 2009

MEDIA RELEASES AND RELATED INFORMATION

One First-Class Stamp (44 cents) or One First-Class Forever Stamp
required to return a Voted Jeffco Mail Ballot.

Ballots may also be dropped off at any of the
eleven drop-off locations throughout Jefferson County.

For the 2009 Election a ballot will be mailed to all eligible registered voters in Jefferson County.  The mail ballots will be sent out between October 13th through October 16th and will be mailed to the current mailing address on file with the Elections Division.  Included in your packet you will find the following items:

  • Your Ballot
  • A secrecy sleeve
  • A return envelope
  • Voter Instructions with Ballot Drop-Off Site locations

Follow the instructions printed on the ballot and the secrecy sleeve.

  • Use a black pen to completely fill in the oval next to your selection on the ballot
  • Fold the ballot as you received it with the stub exposed
  • Place the ballot into your secrecy sleeve
  • Place the secrecy sleeve (with the ballot enclosed) into the Official Return Envelope
  • Complete the affirmation on the back of the envelope
  • Seal the Official Return Envelope

You may drop your ballot off at any of our locations or apply adequate postage to the Official Return Envelope and place it in the mail.  In order for your ballot to be counted, it must be in the possession of the Elections Division by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

  • The voter registration cut-off date for this election was October 5, 2009
  • The last day to request a mailed Replacement Ballot is October 27, 2009
  • The last day to request a Mail-In Ballot to be mailed is October 27, 2009

 PERMANENT MAIL-IN BALLOT INFORMATION


Any eligible elector may apply for permanent mail-in ballot status.  This status will allow you to automatically receive a mail-in ballot for each applicable election.  The application must be made in writing or by fax.  To obtain an application, please click on the "Permanent Mail-In Ballot" link below.  Fill out the form completely, including the check box for "Add my name to the list" for permanent mail-in ballot.
