(Golden) – Jefferson County Clerk and Recorder Pam Anderson today announced an academic scholarship opportunity for Jeffco high school seniors planning for college. The Colorado County Clerks Association, (CCCA), has established a scholarship fund to aid outstanding Colorado resident high school seniors in furthering their education at any university, college, junior college or technical institution.
The CCCA will grant regional one-time awards in the amount of $500. Applicants must be graduating from a Colorado high school and selection will be based on a minimum 3.25 grade point average; community involvement with an interest in government, business, political science; and financial need or hardship.
“This is a great opportunity for students in Jefferson County who are planning for the next step at the collegiate level to earn some financial assistance along the way,” said Anderson. “As president-elect of the Colorado County Clerks Association, I am proud to be able to offer this scholarship to the potential future leaders in our state,” she added.
