  • Who and What Makes up Facilities and Construction Management  


    Facilities and Construction Management Division’s (FACM) main focus is providing Jefferson County employees and visitors with a safe, functional, comfortable and sustainable environment. FACM is responsible for capital asset management, operations and maintenance of 40 separate county sites, which includes:

    • 50 primary owned buildings (approximately 1,500,000 sq ft)
    • Four leased facilities (28,000 rentable sq ft)
    • General real estate services
    • Miscellaneous cell tower leases
    • Vacant land management


    On average, we process over 7,000 help desk work orders and approximately 3,000 campus-wide conference room use requests annually. We also provide capital improvement services such as project management, space planning, programming and design for building and office remodels, consolidations and new construction of county facilities.
