Board of Adjustment

The board of adjustment (BOA) has the authority to grant variances, and special exceptions to established zoning regulations, if an adequate hardship or practical difficulty has been demonstrated.

Board of County Commissioners

The board of county commissioners provides leadership and vision in guiding Jefferson County government, and the commissioners are responsible for overseeing the organization and budgets of a wide variety of county programs designed to benefit citizens.

Board of Health

The Jefferson County Board of Health makes policies and decisions to help promote health and prevent disease.

Fair Advisory Board

The fair advisory board advises the Board of County Commissioners on capital construction and fees, allowable uses, procedures and regulations at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.

Liquor Licensing Authority

The liquor licensing authority board (LLA) has the authority to issue, cancel, suspend, revoke and approve liquor licenses and modifications of licenses pursuant to the Colorado Liquor and Beer Code, to review requests for special events and issue, cancel and revoke dance hall licenses pursuant to 12-18-101, et seq., C.R.S.

The open space advisory committee makes recommendations regarding open space policy and procedures to the board of county commissioners.
