Foundation

The Jeffco Head Start Foundation, Inc. (the Foundation) is organized to receive, solicit and disburse gifts and grants for the benefit of Jefferson County Head Start. Any amounts raised will fund capital projects for Jefferson County Head Start such as building construction, purchase of major equipment, vehicle purchases, and technology upgrades.

Jefferson County Head Start serves 406 children by providing preschool educational programming for children ages three to five years, and resource and referral assistance to their families who are at or below 100% poverty level. Jefferson County Head Start receives 80% of its funding from the Federal Government, but is required to raise 20% of its annual budget from other sources.
