Vaccine Volunteers Needed

Jefferson County Public Health seeks Volunteers for
H1N1 School Located Mass Vaccination Clinics!

Be A Flu Fighter! Jefferson County Public Health and the Visiting Nurse Association are seeking volunteers to assist with upcoming H1N1 school-located vaccination clinics. These clinics are now open to general public and anyone interested in being vaccinated against H1N1 influenza virus is invited to attend. Jefferson County opened the clinics to the public on December 7, 2009.  

Volunteers are urgently needed to help with a variety of assignments to promote orderly vaccination clinic operations.

Non-medical volunteers are needed to help with the following assignments:

• Volunteer Registration/Hospitality
• Greeters/Line Monitors
• Vaccination Registration
• Vaccination/Supply Assistants

The H1N1 vaccine is currently available in limited quantities and intended for those individuals at highest risk for developing complications from influenza. 

• Volunteers will be asked to work one shift from 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., clinic opens for patients at 9:00am. 

These clinics will be held on the following dates and locations:

• Alameda High School: 1255 South Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80232
     December 12 & December 19 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

• Arvada High School: 7951 W. 65th Ave., Arvada, CO 80004 
     December 12 & December 19 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

• Columbine High School: 6201 South Pierce St., Littleton, CO 80123   
      December 12 & December 19 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)

• Evergreen High School: 29300 Buffalo Park Rd., Evergreen, CO 80437
     December 12 & December 19 (10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
