Excellence in Food Safety is a training program designed to reduce the incidence of food-borne illness and unsafe food handling practices. The program is specifically designed for food service personnel, but anyone interested in food safety is encouraged to register.

Course Content:
Food-borne Illness, Food Care and Protection, Hygienic Practices of Personnel, Sanitation in the Work Place, Sanitary Controls, Compliance Procedures, Chemical Labeling and Handling
- The two-hour program is designed to teach individuals how to properly handle and safely prepare food; how to prevent food poisoning incidence; and the proper hygienic practices. Cost for the program is $10.00 per person and participants receive certification upon completion of the course. The course is offered in Spanish as well as English.
