Countywide Transportation Plan
The Countywide Transportation Plan (CWTP) was initiated in late 1995 to develop a more coordinated approach to transportation issues in the county. The plan was a cooperative effort between Jefferson County, and the cities of Arvada, Broomfield, Golden, Lakewood, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge. The CWTP consists of a multi-modal plan identifying transit, paratransit, bicycle and pedestrian, transportation control measures and roadway needs.
Countywide Transportation Plan 2002 Addendum
The Countywide Transportation Plan 2002 Addendum was created to incorporate improvement recommendations from recent planning studies, and to extend the plan to a 2025 horizon year.

Jefferson County Major Thoroughfare Plan
Information you will find by selecting the links below include road classifications, design volume, number of lanes, minimum design speed, and county, state, United States and Interstate highways. The various jurisdictional boundaries are also defined as a part of the plan. The Major Thoroughfare Plan is used by the Planning Commission to identify right-of-way dedication for non-local roadways.

Northwest Quadrant Feasibility Study
The Northwest Quadrant Transportation Feasibility Study was commissioned by Jefferson County with the cities of Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, Westminster, and Wheat Ridge, with the goal to increase mobility, improve safety, and provide a higher level of service for transportation facilities in Northern Jefferson County over the next 20 years.
